À son 2e match seulement, il lance un match sans point ni coup sûr, en plus de faire marquer le point qui met fin au match. C'est un exploit qui ne s'est jamais produit dans les majeures, et peut-être même dans tout le baseball organisé.

In 1948, local pitcher Paul Calvert, who had played for Sherbrooke in 1938 and 1939, was making grand comeback after a few seasons in the majors. In only his second game, he threw a no-hitter, and in addition obtained the walkoff hit in a 1-0 win. It's an achievement that never happened in the major leagues, and maybe in all organized baseball.
